I have no problem with someone having a gay relationship in a story or real life.
I do have a problem with angsty teenagers writing a God-forsaken “love” story about two guys who probably are actively trying to kill each in the source material.
I know, it makes my skin crawl (the fanfiction bit). *turns page* Ugh *turns page* Uuhuugghh…
It always baffles me why such a thing should be felt as so embarrassing in the first place. Though I prefer stories that also have a bit of a humoristic side to them.
Not the genre itself is embarrassing, it’s just that most stories are incredibly cheesy…
