So…were you wiccan for a year or not?

    Stop confusing me, commenters!

*ahem* If you were, there might end up being a very long argument over occultism, considering i’m a scientific atheist and a bit of a sceptic too.

I totally know what you mean. I agree about the pet thing too. Haha! I guess “I really really really want a cat but I’m not ready to commit yet. But I do have a year-pass to the zoo.” doesn’t sound quite as interesting.

Hahaha just imagine in the “Extras” bit on your CV: “I have a year-pass to the zoo.” That would crack me up (if I ever viewed one like that)! :D

Why would you put ex-Wiccan on your cv? Can’t see how a prospective boss would be interested in that.

    Anyways.
I think you should use culinary skills because ‘I can cook’ is underestimating yourself. You are probably way better than average and you are interested in food and cooking. I can also cook, but am not particularly interested in it.

And should I remind you of how you describe your own site? Topics are daily life, food, games and being a Dutch Chinese living in Frankfurt
    Culinary skills: check
    Multicultural: check

I don’t think that Tze really put that text up as CV, but is using this slightly exaggerated example to illustrate that nowadays, it seems necessary to “bloat and polish” your profiles on the web, otherwise you will loose out on certain opportunities.

    • Tze says:

      …Ack! You got me. O_O
…I couldn’t escape from it either… ‘diary comic’ just doesn’t sound interesting at all… T_T

Put it as reflection on German society through the perspective of a dutch chinese.

ads an academic twist to it ;)

BTW, after your post I decided to rework my CV a bit (it’s been a while) as I want to improve my monetary situation, and got an interview for the first (and so far only) thing I applied to.

        thanks for that!

I didn’t get it in the end, competition is stiff at the moment. But I’m still looking around. The position was for a Market Research job. Working in Videogaming is nice, but not financially prosperous.

Maybe if I mention the cat…

I was talking about my own job :D working for the people who make the blue hedgehog games ;)

    • Moom says:

But to leave a good impression, one should not post something like “Well, I have about eighty cats, last time I counted…”
