My Parents Use So Much Oil In Their Cooking…

Featuring: Tze, sis, mum, dad

This is a rather typical problem we encounter when going home home. Our parents try to cook healthy for us, so we’ve been pretty spoiled with plenty of side dishes with every evening meal (a thing I never realised until I moved out!)…but their knowledge on ‘healthy’ is outdated or incomplete. ‘Olive oil is good for you, so using loads of it won’t have any side effects.’ Well.. it’ll still make you fat. Up to us to correct them! :p

Is… that what it is?! I’ve recently moved to a smaller village and the air here is a lot cleaner than in my big-city hometown, but I have breakouts and greasiness all over my face, all the time! Maybe I’ll have to try eating less   >.>

Every time I clean my face with tonic on a cotton pad, I find black smudge all over it! D: Only in Frankfurt. Never had this problem in Arnhem… Hm, maybe the village has much yummier food? :p

Your father always l0oks slender in your drawings, so it probably doesn’t affect his body size. How about your mum? And how are their skins?

I just kept reloading, glad it’s not my phone :P Actually bought a can of oiling spray (?) in the local British store. Shall I give that one to mom?

Ah no, I don’t think it will keep her from using loads. *spray spray spray* -_- I made stir-fry yesterday in a crappy pan, with loads of vegetables and sticky noodles, but hardly used any oil because I kept adding splashes of water to steam it all… the pan was easy to clean and none of it was dry! She should try that…
