Featuring: Tze, Ben
This is a follow-up of Friday’s comic.
I. Am. TERRIFIED of slugs.
Restaurant Gickelschlag (German website) I ordered pork medallions with German fried potatoes and plums wrapped in bacon. For those who wouldn’t mind the smell (you get used to it, but it’s still there) I’d recommend this place. Service is really good, too! And it’s a shame I was too full to order the homemade cheesecake with orange sauce…
Actually, I remember now when Ben was about 2 and we were at his Grandma’s. He came into the kitchen from the garden and was chewing something. ” What are you eating?” I asked and held my hand out for him to spit it out. PLOP! a chewed up slug!
Trouble was, Gma always used slug pellets so he probably had a good does of poison- which explains a lot!!
I knew you wouldn’t let the opportunity to post that go.
Sorry licked not liked
My friend liked a slug when we were kids and his tongue went numb.Yuck Love your little comics.
Deb
Urk, numb?! I shiver at the thought of touching it, too…
Thanks for reading! :)
If you’re afraid of slugs, then i’d suggest that you don’t visit my pad at summer. It’s a sea of slugs out there.
Ack! No, I wouldn’t be able to take a step without squishing one… eep!
Yeah, tell me about it. First we had vegan slugs, now we have slugeater slugs. And they seem to migrate around the yard, so there’s noway of even eating a strawberry without having to brush slugs off.
Ack! Yeah, I always see slugs eating other ones that are dead… how disturbing is that.
And the strawberries in my parents’ garden are also slightly… shiny. T_T
Yeah, once my mom actually accidently ate a slug while eating a strawberry.
Nowadays we grow raspberries, though.
Where has my son gone?! He has turned into a different person! 2 years ago mealtimes were hell- he was so fussy. Now he’s eating SNAILS!!!!
