By the way, the greek word for tea is chai (τσαϊ) :p
Ooohh! I only knew the Indian version. :O Trivia added, cool!
the guy really knew his ‘chai’! i share your love for chai, for me, it must be strong and aromatic, with juussst enough milk.
I don’t mind the syrup based one now, as long as I treat it as a different drink. :)
Mine has to be spicy above all! Ginger has to dominate the flavour. Lots of milk for me though, yum yum…
Have you been to the Chinese Tea House in Manchester?
http://www.chinese-arts-centre.org/the-centre/tea-house/
Not a huge range of teas ( not as many as Whittards).
Ooh, no I haven’t! I hardly have time usually to go and sit somewhere… and if I do have time, it’s Costa! :) But I’ll keep it in mind, thanks!
I too have been betrayed by the evil chai syrup…
Also, I would *love* for you to have the chance to visit Adore Tea. http://www.adoretea.com.au/AboutUs-4.html
Each time you order a new tea, they come and explain it to you, and you can watch it draw in the glass teapots. <3
The first time I went there, I think I found my spiritual home! :)
Ooohh thank you for the link! I haven’t figured out yet if they also do delivery overseas, but their collection looks very impressive… so many types of chai! There used to be a tea shop called Teelirium around the corner of my house, but it closed… :'( They took making tea very serious and you’d get timers with every order to make sure the tea was perfect, hehe.
I’m jealous that you can still go to such a place! XD
