Stew in summer? Wow. I nearly collapse from the heat of baking muffins for 15min and the most hot action my kitchen gets is the rice cooker. But I love stew and maybe in autumn/winter there’ll be more of it again.
(Oh, and onions! I love onions!)

Stew in summer? Well, anyway, I’d never think of using sauerkraut in a stew. I should try it, I like sauerkraut. But not before October.
Ah, stews take waaaaaay too long if you’re going for the tender meat and rich meat flavour type. Like, 3 to 5 hours if not longer… ;) Then again, I guess you could cheat by using flavoured broths and gravy powder. *guilty*

You’re not the only one, it seems mashed potatoes are also something a lot of people would avoid during summer. :)
Mmmm! That sounds so delish! I hardly ever make stews, but there’s an idea. How long does it usually take? (<–lazy)
